DOCTORAL DEGREE ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT

Program overview

Graduates are able to apply the principles of scientific research work, including mathematical and statistical methods and use a foreign language and other expertise to solve creative problems in the fields of business economics and management.

Students are involved in research projects, such as the Student Grant Competition (SGS), Student Grand Foundation (SGF), Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (GAČR), Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR) or projects of the Moravian-Silesian Region.

As part of the program, students regularly participate in scientific conferences and workshops and present the results of their work to an international audience.

Admissions process

Online application

Prepare general propositions of your dissertation topic (at least 5 pages), a CV and a list of publications (if available). Attach these files to your online application and pay an application fee of EUR 100. Deadline: May 31, 2023.

Entrance exam

Did you complete the payment? You are good to go! Check your e-mail box for exam invitation.
Online exams are usually held each month starting from November.

Education recognition

In order to start your studies, you will have to recognize your previous foreign education in the Czech Republic. This can be a lengthy process! Apply for the recognition right after passing the exam.

Enrollment

Official enrollment is possible in September each year.

Non-EU students receive full
guidance on a visa process.
